Skating and Snowmobiling at HarrimanHarriman State Park is located in SE Idaho. Its situated just under Island Park and is an outdoor adventure land for all seasons. It is great for hiking, camping, water sports, snowmobiling, skiing, snowshoeing, sledding, and much more.
Harriman State Park Ski TrailsHere is a list of the Ski Trails located in Harriman State Park: Brimstone Trail (flat, long, and difficult... about 12 miles), Silver Lake Loop (follows the shoreline of Silver Lake. South side isn't groomed. Difficult), Ranch Loop (goes along the shores of Silver Lake. Goes through Railroad Ranch), Golden Lake Loop (through meadows and lodgepole forests with small slopes. Moderate difficulty), Thurmon Creek Loop (follows an old logging road, travels through Lodgepole forest with small slopes, difficult), Big Bend Loop (flat and wide, great loop trail for skaters, possible strong winds, difficult), Ridge Trail (400 foot climb above Silver Lake, most challenging trail, ridge overlook provides awesome views, very steep in places, difficult).
There is also plenty of space for snowmobiling in this area. Just about everywhere you go in the surrounding area you'll hear the buzzing of snowmobiles and people having fun. There is plenty of store and a restaurant for eating with the entire family or group gatherings. While out on the snow, you'll possibly come ac cross a warming hut that will warm you to the core. There is so much to do there for the outdoor enthusiast, the people are great and you won't find a friendlier area in the US to go snowmobiling and participate in Winter fun! | |
